About the Journal

Aim and Scope

TAPESTRY is a professional, refereed open access journal with no publication fees, focused on supporting multilingual learners at all levels and ages, emphasizing research-based literacy development.

TAPESTRY welcomes research briefs, conceptual articles, trending topics, storytelling, book and resource reviews. Any of these can be presented as written articles, professional-quality podcasts or videos, or a combination of these.

Peer Review Process

Papers and other works submitted to TAPESTRY will be subject to double anonymized  peer review by subject experts. Please note that if you submit a work in a video or audio format that contains your voice or image, it will not be possible to guarantee anonymity. These works will be subject to scrutiny against the same rubric as other works.

Reviewers will assess varying aspects of submissions as appropriate for their category. Detailed information is available on the submissions page.

Publication Frequency

TAPESTRY is published biannually.

Open Access Policy

TAPESTRY is published Open Access. There are no fees to access or publish your work.

Copyright and Licensing

The journal and its contents are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY 4.0) License, which allows others to freely share and/or adapt works as long as they provide appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if any changes were made. Authors retain copyright on their work published, but grant TAPESTRY the right to first publication.

Self-archiving in an institutional repository is permissible. Once a DOI is assigned by the journal, include it in the self-archived version.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
